Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to the purchase and use of all vehicle graphics and signage products supplied by YourVanSign.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. DIY Supply and Installation

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all products are supplied on a DIY self installation basis.

It is the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Ensure the application surface is suitable.
  • Confirm that paintwork is sound, fully cured, and free from defects.
  • Follow any fitting instructions provided.

We strongly recommend professional installation if you are unsure about the process.

Improper installation, including stretching, tearing, contamination, overheating, or misalignment, may affect the final result and is not covered under warranty.

2. Surface Suitability and Paintwork

Vinyl graphics rely on the condition of the underlying surface. We cannot guarantee results where the surface is unsuitable.

We are not responsible for damage to paintwork or surfaces caused by application or removal, including:

  • Paint lifting
  • Clear coat damage
  • Scratches
  • Adhesive residue

The risk of damage is higher on:

  • Aged or weathered paint
  • Resprayed or repaired panels
  • Poorly maintained surfaces

Customers are responsible for assessing surface suitability before installation.

3. Storage, Handling and Installation Conditions

To ensure best performance:

  • Store graphics flat in a clean, dry environment.
  • Install within 30 days of delivery.
  • Apply only to clean, smooth, properly prepared surfaces.
  • Do not install in cold, damp, or excessively hot conditions.

Failure to follow these guidelines may affect performance and may invalidate the warranty.

4. Delivery Damage or Defects

If your order arrives damaged, creased, or defective:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Provide clear photographic evidence.
  • Retain packaging where possible.

We will review the claim and, where appropriate, offer a replacement or refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

5. Custom Products and Returns

All products are made to order based on the design you approve.

For this reason, we do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect measurements provided by the customer
  • Design choices approved by the customer

However, this does not affect your statutory rights if a product is faulty, not as described, or not of satisfactory quality.

If you have any concerns about your order, please contact us and we will work with you to resolve the issue.

6. Faulty or Incorrect Products

Under your statutory rights, the products delivered to you must:

  • Match the approved design
  • Be of satisfactory quality
  • Be fit for purpose

YourVanSign provides a warranty that, at the time of delivery, the products will:

  • Conform in all material respects with the approved design
  • Be free from material defects in design, materials, and workmanship
  • Be of satisfactory quality
  • Be fit for any stated purpose

You may reject or request a remedy for products that do not meet these standards, provided that:

  • For visible defects, you notify us within 5 business days of delivery.
  • For hidden defects, you notify us within a reasonable time after the issue becomes apparent.
  • You provide reasonable evidence of the issue, including photographs or videos.
  • You return the product if requested.

If a fault is confirmed, we will, at our discretion:

  • Repair the product
  • Replace the product
  • Refund the price of the defective item

This is in addition to, and does not limit, your statutory consumer rights.

7. Installation Mistake Guarantee

If vinyl is accidentally damaged during installation due to a genuine fitting error, we will replace the affected section free of charge. Postage costs are not included.

To qualify:

  • Photo evidence of the damage must be provided.
  • You must confirm that our fitting instructions were followed.

This guarantee applies to genuine installation mistakes and is offered as a goodwill service.

8. Intended Use

Our products are designed for use on:

  • Clean
  • Smooth
  • Standard vehicle paintwork

Application to unconventional or unsuitable surfaces, including rust, textured coatings, wraps, matte finishes, plastics, or treated finishes, is at the customer’s risk.

9. Warranty

All vinyl products include a two year warranty against manufacturing defects.

This covers material or production faults such as:

  • Adhesive failure causing peeling
  • Delamination
  • Print fading due to defective materials

This warranty does not cover:

  • Incorrect installation
  • Surface contamination
  • Environmental or mechanical damage
  • Pressure washing or abrasion
  • Use on unsuitable surfaces
  • Damage during removal
  • Normal wear and tear

Warranty claims must:

  • Be submitted in writing
  • Include supporting photographs
  • Include proof of purchase

We may request inspection or return of the product before approving a claim.

This warranty does not affect your statutory consumer rights.

10. Product Descriptions, Colours and Dimensions

Products will be materially as described and shown in the approved design proof.

Please note:

  • Different screens and monitors display colours differently.
  • We cannot guarantee that on screen colours will exactly match the printed product.
  • Minor colour variations may occur.

Final dimensions and layout may vary slightly due to production tolerances. Your finished product may differ slightly from on screen previews or design images.

11. Advice and Guidance

Any installation advice we provide is general guidance offered in good faith.

It remains the customer’s responsibility to:

  • Use appropriate installation methods
  • Confirm surface suitability
  • Seek professional installation where necessary

12. Design Ownership and Marketing Use

All designs, artwork, layouts, proofs, and visual materials created by us remain our intellectual property unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Customers are granted a non exclusive licence to use the final approved design for its intended purpose, such as display on a vehicle or premises.

We may display designs, mock ups, or photographs of finished work for marketing purposes, including:

  • Website
  • Social media
  • Portfolio
  • Advertising materials

We will not:

  • Sell or licence your design to third parties for independent use
  • Publish personal information alongside designs without consent, unless required by law

13. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including your rights under:

  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015
  • The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013

Where these terms conflict with your statutory rights, your statutory rights will apply.
